The Meaning Behind the Ink: The Story

After years of IVF not succeeding, I needed something special to reconnect with myself as an individual.

Emi did my first tattoo ever, and it was fate that she was available. We talked about my journey, and one thing I kept going back to was my love of Disney—and the idea that no matter what life throws at you, you can work toward happiness.

Every time I see it, I’m reminded that I’ve dealt with a lot of darkness, but that—just like Disney—my life is vivid, full of wonder, and happiness isn’t out of my reach.
