Charity Oetgen

Charity Oetgen is a tattoo artist, painter, and wildlife illustrator with over 15 years of experience. She holds an MFA from Laguna College of Art + Design, has been published by National Geographic, and her wildlife artwork is part of Dr. Jane Goodall’s personal collection.

Drawing from her fine-art background, Charity works in watercolor, full color, black and gray, illustrative, sketchy, abstract, and realistic styles. She especially enjoys wildlife, nature, literary themes, unusual concepts, and tattoos that allow for creative interpretation.

Every custom tattoo begins with an original watercolor painting created specifically for the client. The painting becomes part of the design process, and clients take home the original artwork along with their one-of-a-kind tattoo.

Charity believes the best tattoos are collaborative, combining your ideas and story with her artistic approach to create something personal and designed specifically for you.
