Everything's Gonna Be Alright
My brother passed away in 2002. I always knew I wanted to get a tattoo as a remembrance piece. I always knew I wanted three little birds, but it took me a long time to find a watercolor artist that could do what I envisioned.
I researched artists for a long time and fell in love with Javi’s work. However, he’s based in Mexico. When I discovered he was coming to Chicago in 2024, I jumped on the opportunity! Finally, after years and years of searching, I got my beautiful watercolor tattoo as a memorial piece for my brother.
The reason I decided on three little birds was because we played Three Little Birds at my brother’s funeral service. It also represents Justin, who passed in 2002, myself, and my older brother—there are three of us.
It’s also a reminder that everything’s going to be alright.
