Missing me

I had always wanted a ton of tattoos. I grew up going to music festivals at a young age, and I loved seeing all the different folks with various kinds of ink.
Surprisingly, I didn’t get a single tattoo until I was 26—and a wife and mother of two sweet kiddos.
Motherhood is a wonderful and magical time, but I was feeling exhausted and missing my old freedoms. I had been a big reader my whole life, but it was always hard to find time now as a mom. I mean, don’t get me wrong, The Pout-Pout Fish is great, but not super thought-provoking.
I had thought I’d get this elaborate tattoo of a woman reading in a bathtub surrounded by cool plants or something, but in the end, it became a little simpler than that.
I love my book tattoo—reminding me of time well spent in the tub reading great books.
