Blooming where I am

Peonies are my favorite flower—the anticipation every year is so exciting, and they are so lush and beautiful for the few weeks they’re in bloom. Pictures can never quite do them justice.
They’re also extremely hardy and low-maintenance… they come back every year almost no matter what—you can hardly kill them if you try.
After a particularly rough few years in virtually every sense, I wanted a tattoo to pay tribute to myself for working hard to grow and even thrive despite the difficulties, and Andrew did a beautiful job incorporating the color gradient and style I wanted.
I see it every day, and it reminds me that I’m strong!
