MS doesn't have me

I may have Multiple Sclerosis, but it doesn’t have me.
I started having random symptoms (mostly numbing) in the spring of 2012. After about a year, the numbing started to get better. In 2016, I started having symptoms again—new symptoms. I went to many appointments, and in February 2017, I was finally diagnosed.
I didn’t take this diagnosis as a “death sentence.” I decided to not let it “get me.” I try to stay as active as I can and do all I can to help it not progress too quickly.
My meaningful tattoo was drawn by my sister. It’s our version of an MS-affected nerve and the strength I choose to have from it! ((I still need to get it colored, which will be done May 8th!))
