Pro Wrestling is Life
I’ve been a professional wrestling fan since I was 4 years old, and I’ve wanted to be a wrestler since the first time I watched it. One of my earliest memories is me sitting on the living room floor watching Rey Mysterio explode up from the stage with fireworks. Rey Mysterio would then become my favorite wrestler for his high-flying moves and flashy entrance.
I knew I wanted my first tattoo to be wrestling-related, but I wanted it to be very personal. I didn’t want a portrait of a wrestler or someone’s catchphrase. I wanted something custom. I came up with the idea of having Winnie the Pooh wearing a Rey Mysterio mask. Why Winnie the Pooh? Because my dad’s nickname for me, since I was a baby, is “Pooh Bear.”
This seemed like the perfect first tattoo that showed who I am and what I love, and Josh helped design what is now my favorite and most personal tattoo.
