Our Legend of Zelda
Growing up, my brothers and I bonded over playing video games. I was much younger than them, and I was the only girl, so this was very important to me. For the most part, I would watch them play the harder games.
One of the series we loved was The Legend of Zelda. When I was younger, it was mostly about watching my oldest brother play the game and jamming along to the great soundtracks! When I went to college, my brother bought a Switch and started to play Breath of the Wild. He would let me steal his Switch and coach me through playing it (although he got frustrated with the amount of hours I put into horse wrangling).
We bonded once again over our love of Zelda. I got this tattoo with the rusting Master Sword and Silent Princess flowers as a homage to my love for the game and the memories I have with my brothers playing them.
A couple of years ago, my oldest brother passed away, and every time I look down at my arm, I think of him and the countless hours we played Breath of the Wild together—and it makes me smile.
