From Client to Friend

Not a long story at all. Wanted my first tattoo and asked a friend for recommendations on an artist that could do Kanji. Richard Young came up. Looked at some of his work, booked with him and got my first tattoo and loved it.
Talked throughout the session and found out we had played video games together without knowing and had plenty of other common interests. 金丸 was the Kanji and it is my old last name. It would have meaning no matter what, but learning that he had been to Japan, was into video games, and had common friends with me turned it into an experience I would never forget.
I now consider him a friend and have spent countless hours in his chair. Been a while, but I still plan on having him cover most of my body in the future.
